Just got the weight figures on these. For the DB9/DBS/Virage our new X-Pipe style weighs just 9.7 Kilos or 21.3 lbs. Total weight reduction from the OEM Exhaust is 18 kilos, or 39.7lbs.

 

Whoa holly crap that sounds wicked great! Very high pitch sound reminds me of the Larini but sort of leaning more towards the Ferrari side of the exhaust note.

^^^ man Stu I am in the dumps about mods and modding right now. I've been modding my cars for many years, and each time I loose my *** on them when I go to sell. Right now I am getting slaughtered on my SL55 AMG that I poured money into a performance build and the same enthusiasts that love the power and the customization end up sh*ting on you when it comes time to sell, lowballing, tire kicking and so forth. I just feel like if I put another dime into another car, I may as well take a stack of money and light it on fire

 

I get you... you never get back all of the money put into mods, no matter what they are. They are a depreciating asset just like the car is!

That said, I think it depends how you build them. I'm a believer in the old 80/20 rule. 20% of the money will get you 80% of the power/fun/smiles/gains. The next 20% takes 80% of the $$$!

The answer is, sensible, reasonable bolt-on stuff. Because you can always take it off, and because you get great smiles per mile without blowing the bank.

^^^ haha you guys are right. Selling my Mercedes has really got me down and out. Hello Karl and friends, I sometimes do lurk around on the boards seeing what you guys are talking about. Richard is doing a good job moderating the AM forum and am still here to help where/when I can. Stu good point. 80/20 for me on the benz is I will be lucky to get 20% of my money back which is an 80% kick in the bollocks for my pride haha...ugh!
