Question Paint Touch up

Called dealer for small bottle of chip repair paint, but was told they don't make because paint is water-based. Any ideas? Also other than silver is there anywhere I can find the AM name for my color? Thanks Frank

Look up Dr. Chip. The paint code for your silver is on a sticker under the radiator cover in the engine compartment. Just remove the 10 torx screws and have a look.

The dealers talking rubbish!

Karl is referring to Dr Color Chip (separate clear coat)
http://www.drcolorchip.com/

Having used them both I prefer Chipex as it is better packaged and easier to use (one coat application)
http://www.chipex.co.uk/

Exact paint code is usually on a label under to grey panel with the "inspection" placque on

See my previous post on lookup up codes on Dupont's site.

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...aint-code.html

I had difficulty finding a Toro Red that actually matched. Automotive Touchup was able to supply a 100% match. Hint: Only select the Year & Make to see all available colors. http://www.automotivetouchup.com/
