Decision time - advice

A business deal I was working on for two years will .pay off next week. I was going to use some of the pay off to pay off the loan I have on my Vantage. Make sure I was making the right decision I again took a new Corvette out for a drive as I already took out the new F type both convertible and coupe. My opinion my 2009 Vantage is far superior than both those cars. I just turned 40,000 miles on my car still has almost a year left on the factory warranty. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the car and the colors for me are perfect The meterior exterior and a Sahara tan interior. Yet part of me is looking at perhaps a 2012 or 2013 with low miles on it trading what I have but spending perhaps 20,000 or more The difference which I would finance.

Just curious as to what those this forum would do in this situation. I would probably lose the colors that I think are ideal.

Paying off debt is a much better idea than going in for more. You already have the 4.7 so a newer model will only be marginally better. You said it yourself, it's been trouble free. Sounds like you take care of it, so it will probably continue that way.

Save your money for the next gen Vantage.

I wouldn't do it. You now have a car that doesn't have a lot of steep depreciation ahead, you know how reliable yours is, and if something big happens you still have 1yr warranty left.
You'd be swapping for pretty much the same thing, while taking on 20k in debt for a steeply depreciating asset...

For a lot less than that you can upgrade minor systems to get it up to current specs, like the new bluetooth module, or clear taillights...

A big + 1 from me, if you can pay the debt off do it! If your car is what you like, keep it.

I'd keep it, at least let the warrantee run. Sounds like you already have a great car, very reliable and just the color combination you want. Very little change in the newer Vantage models so keep the one you have.
