Pre-09 Carbon Fiber Fascia?
Pre-09 Carbon Fiber Fascia?
Poking around I can't find an AM part number for a carbon fiber fascia for any pre-09 car. They all say in the description it's for cars with the ECU key only. I know RSC offers a carbon fiber cover and the v collection offers what I assume is a similar part by their description, albeit much more expensive. Are there any other options for fascias with real carbon fiber? Does anyone have any pictures? (and on that note, by the description even the AM part is "painted carbon fiber"... is it just a painted texture or the real deal?). I may be getting some CF sills, too. I read in a few threads there were fitment issues - anyone know if this has been resolved?
I also considered getting the skinning kit from carbonmods.co.uk (seen in this video:
) and skinning my OEM fascia in real CF / resin, but I'm worried about both messing up on an expensive factory part and the thickness of the cf fabric and resin being an issue for the fitment of the vents and the engine start button. I guess sanding could take care of that but it would be an expensive mistake to mess up - more costly to buy a new OEM part than the RSC cover.
Anyone with a pre-09 car have any advice?

Aston don't do faux carbon fiber. The parts that look like the real deal are the real deal.
Be aware that some aftermarket carbon pieces are actually covers that stick onto the top of the OEM part. Also, laminating parts in real carbon is not exactly easy at first and requires a lot of practice. I would not use one of the parts of your car to practice on.
