I've driven a few new or vantages I have an 09. The new seats seem like there's extra padding and a little bit more comfortable. Is that my imagination? I'm thinking of having my seats redone and have more padding added which is what I used to do my Mercedes SLK's which made a tremendous difference in comfort. Has anybody redone the seats of their Astons?

 

Never redid the seats but can confirm there was a noticeable difference between my '09 V8V and '12 V12V. V12 leather definitely felt 'thicker', though whether this was due to the leather or more padding underneath, not sure. Seats were more comfortable, though, as a result.

 

after having owned an 06 vantage and an 05 db9, i can tell you that the seats in the 10 vantage i have now are definitely more plush

the seats i had in the older models were not perforated so they kind of felt like leather wrapped cardboard

 

To be fair, leather that has aged for years over padding that has started to compress and lose its cushioning properties is never going to feel as good as the same stuff but 5-10 years newer. That being said, there are some minor differences in the newer sport seats which now feature a zippered storage pouch on the front edge below your thighs.

 

I feel this all the time..but comparing new or almost new cars, all the Virage's for some reason had the comfiest seats..look the same but damn comfy!!..Then again, the Virage was built to be the comfy version of the DBS..

 

The Virage came with better leather than the Vantage has, so that might make some difference.
