Just installed this.. great little part!
Saw this on ebay a year ago or so and have been thinking about it ever since. After another 'near miss' pulling out of a parking lot I looked it up and went for it.
What a great part! Fits perfect and basically unnoticeable under the car. Comes with new (longer) fasteners and the piece is countersunk for the fastener head. Installed in 10 minutes. Just had to jack up one side of the car. Not only protects but also will cover up some of the scuffs you might already have. Looks like it's made by some hot-rod type shop in California.

Per forum rules, please do not post embedded links to non-sponsor product listings.
Posting the name of the product and where you got it should be fine. (ie, "product such and such that I got off ebay")
Thanks!

This is basically a "skid plate" made of some type of plastic about 1/4" thick that bolts underneath the front bumper cover of the DB9. They may have other applications as well..
Please, tell me what words I can put into the e-bay search window to find this part. Just putting in "skid plate" comes up with too much stuff.
Try googling "custom DB9 skid plate" or refer to this thread: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...kid-plate.html
I'll try to post some pictures later today.

so you can post what it is, where he got it, that he likes it, pics of it installed but he cant post a link to it, clearly this rule needs to be changed, i understand protecting sponsors but i hardly think not posting a link is doing anything to protect anyone
I can see both sides of the argument, but what it boils down to is the sponsors are the ones keeping the lights on and the servers running. Ad revenue is what makes this forum free for us to use. An active link to a non-sponsor is the same as the non-sponsor having ads on the forum without paying for them while our sponsors do pay for theirs.
You're welcome to request a rule change, but that'd have to go through an admin (not a moderator), and they would probably have to pass it up to the board owners (IB) for approval.
