Most shops are okay with installing customer supplied parts. Some charge a different shop rate, but as I mentioned, some things you can only have done at the dealer while others are wide open for private mechanics.
For you, not too important. A girl in the car would find it nice to not have her hair blown around. Also, search google for the Heatshield Store, then consider buying a windshield cover from them. Dashboard leather tends to shrink and this will keep it from happening.

Sorry if this reply is too late for you, but I find the wind deflector is great on my V8V roadster. It makes having conversations with the top down a lot easier and reduces wind significantly. Also, as was mentioned, if you have a woman in the car with you, it is critical to keep them from looking like a mess by the time you get to where you are going.
A little update. The dealer has agreed to doing the 2 year service for me. I also talked them into replacing the brakes with the Porterfield pads and air filters from RSC Tuning. The dealer has supplied a new glass key. The car should be shipped out tomorrow. Hoping it will be here by Christmas!
Stuart at Velocity is checking to see if his new springs will work on my car. I will replace the rear tires myself because there is a good chance I am going to go to a different set of wheels.
Does the wind screen just snap in and out? I found a couple on eBay, they both have the same part number but huge cost difference? I am assuming that there is no difference in fitment between a V8V and a V8VS roadster.
