Found suspension part disconnected

Just got some jacks and parts and evaluating doing the brakes myself on my new (to me) 2007 Vantage. First time taking off the front wheel and discovered what appears to be a potentiometer of some sort disconnected!!! It connects to the back side of the lower A-arm.

I'm pretty sure this year Vantage doesn't have any form of active suspension and this was obviously disconnected as the nut is on. (It didn't just come loose) So, I'm not sure what this is measuring and why I didn't get any codes/errors. Related to alarm system maybe?

Thanks for any insight.

That's for HID headlamp leveling. Your headlamps are not leveling if that's off.

Thanks for the quick reply! Besides my brakes, the other reason to take the wheels off was to scope out the adjustment ***** for the headlights as those weren't aiming right. Looks like simply reattaching should make my day!

Thanks again.

There is a sensor on the rear as well; you'll need to check to see if that has been disconnected also.
