Planning my next purchase, still a ways off (maybe up to 1 year) - would prefer to buy slightly used vs new.

Most Vantage GTs come with the graphics pack - can this be easily removed (is it vinyl or permanently painted)? At first I kind of liked it, after looking for awhile - I think I prefer the classic look of the plain old Vantage without the flair.

If I look at the 2013-2014 Vantage GT, I'd lose out on the little extra HP and I think things like backup camera, just to get one without the flair.

They are vinyl and , in theory, could be removed. I'm also getting a Vantage GT and a lot of them I have looked at come w/o the strips and lipstick so if you are looking a year from now you should have some choices.

 

I was at the dealer two days ago and it looked and felt painted, not vinyl. I am referring to the color scheme and lipstick.

 

There is some confusion of terminology here. The GT stripe along the lower sides is indeed vinyl. The "Graphics Pack", which entails lipstick, diffuser, mirror caps and A-pillar (coupe only) is painted under clear coat. All GTs come with the vinyl, but it is a no-cost option to delete it. The Graphics pack is an option which costs $3,190 for the coupe and $2,620 for the roadster.

Thanks Karl, it's strange that Aston would do both vinyl and paint. all the GTs I have looked either only had the stripes or nothing. The majority of them have neither stripes nor lipstick.
