Just leased my 6th car, 1st electric (2015 500e) this weekend
Just can't seem to pass up good deals! My wife thinks I'm nuts with all the cars we have!
But guys hate to admit it this tiny car is fun as hell to drive. And the crazy price I got is practically free! They even wrote a national story on the group that I was involved with! Ive always wanted an electric car so I figured i would try this and see if it can work.
Still thinking of selling my 08 roadster and getting a manual vantage. Or just biting the bullet and picking up a base GT. We'll see.
Muahahahah!!!! Welcome to the club! 500e lessee for a bit under a year now! Guess we have similar tastes.
The 500e is almost free at this point, they're doing it for the ZEV credits. I got mine at almost TWICE what they're going for now, last year, and it was still a hell of a deal.
Enjoy it, I thrash mine every single second I can, 0-40 is insanely fun.

Makes the Vantage feel so old school
No way Pablo! Thats awesome. Yes totally digging the 500e. More than i thought i would. Im suprised you havent jumped to a Tesla yet concidering you work there.
Funny, I just tested the 500e and ended up buying the VW eGolf. I have kids+friends and the eGolf just had much better size, seating for 5 etc... that I needed.
So far, I'm only charging it on 110 but thinking of buying a home level2 charger of some sort - I have an unused 30amp 220 dryer outlet. Just simply haven't needed it driving max of 40-60 miles per day.
I love the silent 0-40 acceleration. After that it's got nothing. LOL. The Tesla dual motor 0-60 must be an awesome experience if my little eGolf is this zippy.
And the batteries drain very fast at max speed of 85mph. But for my 40 mile daily roundtrip it's perfect.
ICE are going to go away for many uses. But it also does make getting back into the Aston even more special at the same time.
My wife picked one up about 6 weeks ago as well. Great lease deal and getting the carpool lane stickers makes it a no-brainer.
She got the bright orange one. She says that maybe the bright color will make it less likely to get run over by passing SUVs. 0 to 10 MPH is incredible so if I can find a 40 foot drag strip instead of 1/4 mile this thing would own

Unfortunately I can't afford two cars at that price
The 500e lease for me is way less than these combined:
1) Depreciation on the Aston for commuting to work (44 miles each day)
2) Fuel costs for the Aston for said commute (I charge @ level 2 for free at work!)
3) Maintenance for the Aston for ~10k miles a year (my commute 4 days a week... since I still drive the Aston to work around once a week)
4) Carpool lane fees (I take the 110, around $8 a day on a gas car)
If you just do (2)+(4), it's:
~15mpg = ~3 gallons a day @ $3 = $9 (*4*52/12) = 156/month
Carpool fees = ~$8 (*4*52/12) = 138/month...
That's $294 a month, without even taking into account maintenance and depreciation saved on the Aston (with the Fiat this is included).
Back in the day I set my payments for ~$200 a month, right now this is at $99, which is crazy low. Some people are getting even less. Don't forget you get a check for $2500 from the state of California when you lease, so your downpayment is essentially zero. In my case my downpayment was around 1.8k so I got a bit of spending money
The way I see it, during the week I'm gonna be driving under 40 mph to work anyways, so it's not like I can enjoy the Aston's better attributes. And it's refreshing to have a beater.
