Few mods i just completed....

Well I did these mods a few months back but wanted to share them with you guys. Better late then never. Currently im running 21" PUR wheels, HR springs and Quicksilver super sport exhaust which by the way produces the most amazing sound I have ever heard

Skid plate
Glass switches

The skid plate fits perfectly and now I don't worry about scraping my front end. What a relieve!!!! It was built by a guy in so cal, custom to order. He does these for many other exotics and the price was very reasonable. PM me for details. The quality is top notch.

Glass switches are a great update. Such a minor mod but makes a big difference in my opinion. Now I have to find the rest of the set. I found these at astonmartinbits.com for SUPER cheap Check them out.

Next mods to follow

Modifying my factory struts with a adjustable coil sleeve so I can retain my factory spring and lower the car down 1.25". These HR springs that I have ride like ****!

Widening my new set of wheels to a 12" wide and steeping up to a 325/25/21 Rear tire. Currently running 295/25/21

After those ill get back in the interior and do the rest of the glass switches and change out some of the silver interior parts to matte carbon.

Really nice. Glass switches look great in pic, can imagine to be dramatic first hand. The slightly italisized font is nicer as well.

Why waste your money to widen the rear wheels? 295 is plenty big and they look great as is.

Hey guys. Took some pics of the skid plate today but the thing is so thin it's hard to see anything. Here's a pic anyway. I need to have the car on a rack so you can really see it. I tell you thst looking under there, it's defiently doing its job!

You can easily just make your own from a thin sheet of aluminum. Remember, it doesn't really need to be thick at all. It just needs to protect the underside of the carbon splitter from getting scraped. You'd have to bottom-out really badly to really scrape through even very thin metal, at which point you would probably crack the carbon as well. You won't be able to see it unless you get under the car, so getting something fancy is not really necessary for something that is a sacrificial piece anyway.

I bought a roll of sheet aluminum from home depot that is usually meant for the kick plate in aluminum pool enclosures. It comes painted black on one side and brown/bronze on the other. It's thin enough that even a strong pair of scissors can cut it.

I made a template for three pieces: one for the center and one for each side (same as Anton). They attach with the same bolts that fasten the splitter. The underside of the splitter isn't perfectly flat. It has a bit of a raised contour near the leading edge so I bent the metal to follow that shape and kept it there using double sided 3M automotive tape. Since it comes pre-painted in black, even from the underside, it looks like it was meant to be there. And if it scraped, you would see where the contact occurred because the paint would come off. Luckily i haven't scraped it at all yet. But one of the benefits of making it in three parts is that you can just replace the scraped part (if it's really bad) instead of the whole thing.
