The leather started peeling back on my V8V key fob, and low and behold...

We know....

What would be even funnier would be to go to the dealer and ask how much for replacement leatherhilarioushilarious

Glad you brought this up. I just ordered a new key fob off eBay without the jaguar logo. Can't wait to change mine.

I thought about buying a crystal key and swapping the inerds so it can just act as a fob. But I came to my senses about how much $$$ was to be spent on just making the fob look proper haha

I was tempted too. Every car I've had since 2005 has had a keyless entry/start of some kind, and it's like going back to the dark ages having to insert a key which only turns on ignition before you start the car.

But I like the ECU more because it's unique from any other luxury automobile brand, and I would probably pay for the privilege to upgrade my 07 DB9 if it was a keeper. Then again, I might just wait and get a DBS with everything I want in one package.

Sadly no longer available. Anyone have any update on that key? I don't really want to re-cover a Jaguar key with leather - it never comes out the same as a factory-produced product.

This might explain why my SATNAV always seems to take me by the nearest Volvo shop enroute to my destination. ;)
