Now you know why they put the leather on it .
What would be even funnier would be to go to the dealer and ask how much for replacement leather

Glad you brought this up. I just ordered a new key fob off eBay without the jaguar logo. Can't wait to change mine.

I thought about buying a crystal key and swapping the inerds so it can just act as a fob. But I came to my senses about how much $$$ was to be spent on just making the fob look proper haha

I was tempted too. Every car I've had since 2005 has had a keyless entry/start of some kind, and it's like going back to the dark ages having to insert a key which only turns on ignition before you start the car.

But I like the ECU more because it's unique from any other luxury automobile brand, and I would probably pay for the privilege to upgrade my 07 DB9 if it was a keeper. Then again, I might just wait and get a DBS with everything I want in one package.

This might explain why my SATNAV always seems to take me by the nearest Volvo shop enroute to my destination.
