This is the key I bought. Should be arriving tonight. From the post, looks like it is not branded and has the key in order to attach the key ring.

What the heck... it looks logo-free so I just bought two. Now looking for an AM emblem to cement on the face.

How so? I thought the innards from the original key fitted straight in. Can you give more detail/pics?

They do but they don't fit flush.

The inner 'plate' of the Jag fob is curved and the AM circuit board sits against it but leaves a significant gap which means you have to really push the buttons hard to make contact. I filed a significant amount of the internal plate off to allow the circuit board to sit closer & fit better then added a spacer - works like a charm now. The trial and error only took about an hour, now that I know what needs to be filed & where it's a 5 minute job. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so to some it may be overboard but to me it's 'right'. I also added the AM log (pin) on the back side.

When I get back to Dubai I will take the fob apart again and post some pics for you.

I opened my FOB up and started modifying the jag one. I had to snap off a middle piece of plastic and noticed the internals do sit lower. But when I was trying to fit everything together, I realized the seller sent me two of the same sided chrome outside pieces and it wouldn't close properly. In addition, he did not send me the spare key part. I contacted the seller and he sent another FOB which should work. Will post when I get it fitted.

I'm in the middle of changing the head gasket on the my Range Rover which is causing some headaches...

My remotes arrived today and also didn't have the key blades enclosed either.

Gets worse. The company say they changed their order to show the blades weren't included (but the ebay ad still shows them as part of the order), and will not send the missing items to me because their system won't allow international order replacements.

Never heard of anything quite so silly as this. I asked for a refund of the missing items which they had originally offered, and will order the blades from somewhere else.

What a waste of my valuable time. The end result better be worth it

Finally done.

Kensilver, sorry to hear about your fiasco. When I contacted the seller, they sent me a new fob with the correct sides and the uncut spare key. Finally changed it over this weekend. With the correct sides, the internals dropped into easily. A little harder to press the buttons but much better looking.

Only need to cut off the pin inside the new fob for the electronics to drop in. Keep the spring for the key release from popping up and close the backing.
