Voodboo Blue 911
Voodboo Blue 911
I finished this project some time ago, but thought I should put up some pics.
Extras include GT3 99.2 RS front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, 997.1 GT3 spoiler and VF super charger. The roof and spoiler blade were finish in Mercedes magno matte metallic black. It took sometime to find the voodoo blue, after some research, I found the Glasurit product.

Yes, Great photography and background with Sun - Porsche should use it in their advertising!!!

Cool color and nice transformation.
I would def ditch those tails, lower the car and the flat wheel color looks off with that bright blue. Just my opinion, which does not matter at all!!!

my thoughts exactly. Maybe a light smoke on the tail lights. Somehow flat black wheel just don't look right on that beautiful voodoo blue. Sorry OP, probably what you don't want to hear with all our neg criticisms but if you like it, that's all that matter.

I think the gen 1 gt3 wing is one of the best looking designs out there, regardless of the front bumper. It flows so much better with the lines of the 997 than the gen 2 wing, or any of the other options out there.
Excellent color. I too, hate the tinted taillight look. It reminds me of a Honda Civic ricer. I have never understood taking taillights, a safety item to keep you from being hit, and tinting them to reduce their visibility.
The side skirts are modeled after the 996 GT3, I picked them up at the same spot I picked up the rear bumper, GT3Tek out of San Diego. I happen to like the side skirts.
I do agree regarding the rear lights, not crazy about them, the 997.1 lights were looking very dated, I was up in the air about replacing them with LED lights, but then discovered in the forums there were many warning lights/electrical issues that resulted from installation of the LEDs.
Voodboo Blue is the OEM color on the 997.2 GT3 RS 4.0, I fell in love with it at first sight. I found the silver just too boring, I realize it would depreciate in value by changing the color, whatever, making it my own
Color varies significantly depending on lighting.
