07 V8V door remotes

Ok so here's the scoop .
Doors don't lock with the remote , but they do unlock with remote . Alarm system does arm with remote . Trunk release works from remote .
I have read the manual re the locks and there are so many options I'm totally confused . Any suggestions anyone .

Sounds like a case of bad spanish-made door module. If you're under warranty it should be covered, take it in and explain what's happening, I'm sure your dealer has dealt with this before. It's basically a bad locking mechanism in the door. I had kind of the same thing and they replaced the door lock motors / module and reflashed the door software. Worked like a charm since.

but the problem is both doors so I dont think both door latches can be bad . im thinking its an issue with the remote itself ?

Sounds like a bad or dirty contact for the unlock button on the key fob. Reminds me of tv remote control behavior after about three years of age. If you can disassemble the fob, try cleaning the contact point for the unlock button.

If you have both remotes, do they behave the same?
