Got the best price for tires and install from a Firestone shop. Anyone use them to install tires?

I will let you know how it goes, but my fears have risen as they just called me and asked "how do you make the car go forwarded?"
Should have gone somewhere more appropriate!

Based on my own experiences, I tend to take the car only to shops that are very familiar with it (a Firestone shop my have good techs, but it's extremely unlikely that any of them will be familiar with an Aston's "quirks"). The last straw for me was when a valet assured me he knew how to drive the car, and had driven numerous Vantages... then couldn't figure out how to turn it on... then stalled it twice in front of me... I parked it myself and kept my keys to make sure he wouldn't try it again.

Since you are local I can give some local recs. I have been going to one of two places:

1) Discount Tire at 183/Anderson Mill. I bring them the wheels rather than the whole car. So far they have done a good job. They did damage a metal tire valve on one of my IForged wheels a couple years ago but were very good about making it right.

2) Qualtech near 620/Anderson Mill. They are more expensive but are more of a real shop and still less than the real fancy exotic shops. I still brought my wheels loose for them but wouldn't fret too much bringing the whole car. I do have them do my alignments.

I got the car back with the tires installed. They seemed to have done a great job. I was concerned when I checked the tires in the parking lot it appeared all the lugnuts were loose. I of course called one of the guys out there to take a look and he informed me they were the chrome caps on the lugnut that were loose and they brought a torque wrench out and tightened them down to 100 lb just to make sure.

So side note anyone have lugnuts that don't just have a chrome cap that can come loose?

I have some open-ended lug nuts from Otis in LA. Great company to work with. The lug nuts aren't anything pretty (the OEM chrome-capped ones are made to be pretty) but they do their job, and are priced accordingly.

There's nothing to worry about the caps on the OEM lug nuts, though.
