Has anyone driven this track? Is it worth the membership. I live in Austin and think its a pretty cool deal.

I have done it once as a guest and have a few friends with memberships. It's a fun track, doesn't seem too crowded. It isn't in primo condition but the costs are lower than other tracks I've looked at (website pricing).

I think you can do a tour of the track if you go there.

 

I had a membership for several years after it opened and have run numerous HPDE events and even autocross events (with Texas Spokes) on H2R. It is a fun, informal track run by enthusiasts. Because of the topography in that part of San Marcos and the weather extremes that we've experienced, the track surface has taken a beating and seems to be hard to keep maintained.


If you have not driven the track, it is certainly worth a trip down there to check it out. The membership is a great value as long as you plan to drive on a regular basis.
