Stuart, are the Vantage Xpipe Sport Exhausts louder than stock? And where exactly does the weight savings come from? Are there any tradeoffs in terms of performance, longevity, etc.?

 

Generally speaking yes they are although we often custom make them at different sound levels to pair with different sets of mods.

On a V8 Vantage for example, our 'Touring' is slightly louder than a standard V8 exhaust with the valves open.

'Sports' is louder and 'Supersport' louder still.

The weight savings just comes from simplicity of construction and doing things by hand in a more time consuming way. We simply use less materials, and a less complicated design.

You should see slightly increased performance (perhaps 3-4BHP at the most) with no tradeoffs in longevity. We use 304 grade stainless steel, so you should expect one of our systems to outlast the rest of the car!
