2005 DB9 cupholders - possible solution.

HI guys, I'm new to my 2005 DB9 in Slate Blue. I was quite surprised that it didn't have a cup holder, and did some searches on here. (Us cops don't like to be separated from our coffee and donuts for long... )

I may have found a solution. I ordered a cup holder from an Audi A8 D2 ('94-'02), the first shape A8. I think it fits rather well:

Sweet looks like it could've come from the factory like that. Is it snug enough to not move and tip over with cup in it?

Pretty much. I may put a layer of trim tape along the sides, and I think I'll actually move it to the back of the cubby, but so far, so good...

Will two of them fit in there? it looks like it would fill and keep them solid.

Unfortunately not, two of them would be about 3/4" too long. I may have found another Audi double alternative, I'll keep you posted...

Should of bought an 06+..The Brits aren't fawned of cup holders in sports cars. When Aston brought over the DB9, "where's the cup holder" was the main complaint... sooo in 2006.5 Aston reworked the center arm rest to have 2 cup holders.

You could buy a 2006 arm rest with cup holders and swap in replace of the armrest/storage area... Might want to source it used though, because a new part is over 1,000usd
