Diminished value vantage v8

So I'm researching a vantage v8 and found the carfax had a damage/accident report that occurred in 2009 when the car was at the dealership and under 3000 miles. I think the car was a demo because the first registration was after the noted repair. The dealer says the accident was just a scraped bumper and inspecting the car, can't find anything to the contrary. What do you think, if any, diminished value there may be on a simple cosmetic repair from 7 years ago?

The dealer should have made a claim for diminished value if someone else was responsible for the damage (loaner, lot accident, car carrier, etc.) but now it is your mess to deal with. Your car is older so the loss in value won't be as significant but at the time the damage was done, the loss in value was probably in the 10% of MSRP range. Call St Lucie Appraisal, they will be glad to answer that question and maybe suggest your options.
