Vanquish 2016 an BMC filters

Has anyone any experience using BMC filters - I heard good things about them but also some mentions of problems with the oil coating. Any other filters you recommend instead like Paramount?

Does it make a difference in performance and sound? More importantly is it 100% safe?

Thanks in advance.

Oiled filters aren't 100% safe for our cars. There will always be a risk of the oil contaminating the MAF sensors. Some people don't mind, others do.

You can get a little more power and maybe a touch better throttle response, but whether or not it's worth the risk of damaging your MAF sensors is up to you.

We make our own VelocityAP filters, have them in stock at our European distributors David Appleby Engineering.

Oil coating should not be a problem. Almost all of the instances I have found regarding MAF fouling were after people cleaned and re-oiled their filters, and the put 10x more oil than required. You definitely get a small uptick in intake noise, and the performance is about 4-5BHP.
