Not all of the cars an AM dealer are "AM certified". I was looking at Rapide at an AM dealer that was not and they wanted more money to have it inspected... I moved on from that one.

So it's a 90 day waiting period for the first claim once you buy a policy?

07s are very good, I have over 110k miles on mine, with nothing major and original clutch. The vantage was brought to market under Fords tenure and their corporate culture, and importantly, their standards for a production cars, vastly different than in Aston's past and perhaps now. Problems from sitting will/should show up in the first six months

Mine was not AM certified either. Yes there is an inspection charge on a new buyer to get the warranty. They weren't going to wait for me to own it for 3 months before allowing it to be under warranty. This program must be a big money maker for Aston.

We bought our 2007 V8V manual in January 2017 with 28,000 miles on it. Only repairs I've done is replace all the door, hood, back hatch struts, the front O2 sensors and the thermostat that was stuck open (common issue). Parts were not expensive and I was able to the work myself. Rest has just been regular maintenance. Recently replaced the brake pads with Porterfields. No oil leaks so far. Have put on about 6,000 miles and has been very reliable car.

The AM dealer not saying it was certified or wouldn't certify for the current asking price made me go somewhere else.
