2013 Vantage Fail Safe Mode

Driving the car slowly through the neighborhood and engine loses power, Message screen says "Engine Fail Safe Mode" then reduces car to idle mode so you can't even pull a slight grade. I shut the engine down, locked and unlocked car, restarted and it ran fine with no messages or faults left behind. Does anybody know what caused this? Planning a 400 mile trip next week but not sure I should take the Aston.

Thanks for any help or advice.

Mark

I'd plug in an OBD reader and see if any codes got stored.
