i would like to thank the forum and the members who recently assisted me in fixing a few probs on my vantage. Special thanks to 007JB and his very nice shop Foothillsmog.com for being so professional , detailed and thorough in diagnosing my fault. It turns out that after the emissions check light came on we found the pcv hose had come out of the quick connect in the intake manifold and we had a left bank fuel fault.His shop is spotless , they covered my seat , put brand new shop fender microfibers on the fenders and had the latest sensors and hardware. i cant reccommend this member or his shop enough. They carefully ran the diagnostics and fixed the o ring and hose. all faults cleared and next the smog after a small drive tonight.
im only new to this forum , but its this kind of brotherhood that makes owning one of these cars less intimidating and more fun.Thanks Avo or '007JB' for all your help. if you are in LA please visit him for smog and other aston work.

I don't know how these pass a smog test. Nothing like the smell of unburnt fuel in the morning!


Didn't somebody just get caught having radically different tune setting at idle so it would pass smog? Wouldn't surprise me if a lot of builders are cheating smog in some way. When I bought mine I had to replace my furnace and AC with much more efficient units to offset the massive carbon footprint I leave everywhere I go
