I am new to the Aston world just purchasing an 08' Aston V8V Roadster. I live in the south bay area blocks away from the Aston dealer Los Gatos Luxury cars. So thats a plus. My new car required a major service among other things and had BR Racing do the work. While they did a very good job I dont believe I saved much from dealer service. In particular BR wont use parts that aren't Aston supplied. He counts on making margin from parts. I understand that.

But I am looking for alternatives to find someone that wont mind using alternative sourced parts if that makes sense. Given the extremely high cost of service (my welcome to the Aston world first bill was $3k) Id like to get some other options.

Can anyone suggest alternatives?

Aside from this I love the car although there are a number of issues to work through.

Tim Unsell at Germany's Best in Oakland, hands down. I flew him to Virginia to do my clutch installation. He's phenomenal.

 

I can vouch for Tim as well. I have a 2012 Vantage S that he has taken super good care of...

Tim just broke out in his own after working at multiple Astin Dealers, and I absolutely trust his skills and judgement.

 

Yes go see Tim in Oakland, you won't be disappointed. He just did a header installation for me, he does great work.
