I always use castrol 10w60. Does anyone use liquimoly?

Just curious if it's safe to do so.

Yes. I use it. It's great. Compared to the Castrol, I never need to add any oil to my car. It's also very reasonably priced.

Thanks guys. How often do you change oil 5k or 10k miles?

I've been doing 8k miles (every 2 years)

Will do liquid moly next time. Was such a pain to get the castrol last time

I change it once a year before it goes into winter storage. Filter, the whole deal. Usually it's way under 5k miles.

I change mine after it comes out of storage (oil + filter), I do about 10k kms or about 8k miles every summer.

Surprised hard to buy Castor...advanced Auto stocks normal...but you need to ask as not put out on the shelves...
Rich at Redpants has a great and cheap match actually better and cheaper I bought ...even my son had ordered from him on his Mustang...Rich does special orders...just ask him...

Safe driving

Thanks guys. I'll try liqui moly next time.

Actually found it much cheaper on eBay just now ($9 shipped per quart no tax) for castrol.

But I've heard good things about liquid moly. Really want to try it. Seems like a number of cars are running it here

Interesting....I went to their website and put on 09 Vantage...they had no oil recommended for my use..

I am glad you guys are having great luck...really

But for me...Rich or Castrol...both work for my best interests which saves me worry and money...

Evening

I'm just going to ask, has anyone EVER actually attributed any engine problems to a
specific brand of oil? I'm going to go out on a limb and surmise that the chances of the OP actually getting any negative comment from anyone who has actually used the oil is zero. So the question about safety of this oil is not going to be answered here, neither would any other oil brand.

LiquiMoly Synthoil Race Tech GT1 is ACEA A3/B4 so it meets AMs requirements on the V8 Vantage. There are a few LiquiMoly 10w-60 products so I'm just going to assume the OP is asking about the Race Tech GT1. BTW, both 10w-60 and 5w-50 are approved weights by AM.

Hi...while each believes or uses different oils...very interesting that seldom do I read of Major engine problems...

Oh yes everything else from belts etc...modules..but most engine models work...it is the crazy electronics and some crazy parts that cause us headaches.

I believe in using better products including oil...but a long time ago when Mobil 1 was the first synthetic...bought and used...Wow great...quiet engine...better mileage.

But could not park the car in the garage...the engine was not designed for this new thinner oil..leaked out every gasket...I had to go back to regular oil.

This being said...our engines are the strong point in our cars...everything else drives us nuts...use what works and gives you peace of mind.

Me? I like a clean floor in my garage...my build in pit area is a different animal...haha
