My first Vantage was a 2007 bought new special ordered. At the time I was doing pretty good financially, and pre-ordered the extra 2 year warranty as the dealer told me it was refundable if I sold the car beforehand (it was not). Anyway my intention was to drive the car as many miles and a hard as possible for the 5 years and just enjoy the thing - if it broke, it's got an unlimited mile warranty. The recession forced a sale after two years of driving the car extremely hard for 25,000 miles. I was amazed that it still had the original brakes that had plenty life left (I went through a set of tires), and that annual services at Lake Forest showed no issues at all! The car remained just as tight as the day I picked it up, pretty much making me a Vantage groupie!

These cars get a bad rep for being maintenance pigs and unreliable.. I think that's just a stigma attached to all exotics and Aston Martin has been included.. Completely unjustified. Especially the Gaydon cars we all have.

Well said! However, if my first Aston was the 2015 GT I had, it was quite a hangar queen - a fantastic car, but went through a ton of warranty issues. What I think happens is on occasion for whatever reason someone gets a problematic car (I never *****ed because it was under warranty and all was quickly addressed) and gets quite vocal on line about the exception and not the rule, and those with no issues stay quiet. Overall these are amazing cars.

People will always be more vocal about problems than bliss. Half the threads started are "my car has x problem", very rarely does anybody start one to just say how much they love their car, other than new car days of course

Whether the reputation is deserved or not, your 2015 would have been a nightmare to a second owner without warranty. Being one with a problematic car, it's not a fun position to be in. Although all car companies are going to make a few lemons, an expensive lemon is tough to make into lemonade

7 Astons? Envious!

I have the best warranty I could ever get. If anything ever goes wrong with my DB9, I will just sell it back to Speedracer800. He made me swear if I was ever to sell the car, I would offer it to him first. He loves my car so much, I am treating it as a warranty card
