Seeing, touching (owner's permission granted), and hearing the start up and running of a Vulcan was the highlight of the week.

The new stitching pattern in the Vanquish (black one on display) is brilliant. The spider web vibe gives the car the menacing feel it's always needed.

I was rather shocked that not a single (newer) AM was at The Quail. Why the Vulcan wasn't there is a mystery. And the poor thing didn't sell at auction. Maybe not the investment car some thought it would be.

And where are all of the One77s?

All in all, Car Week was wonderful. Even in that bubble of exotics everywhere, Aston Martins are rare birds...and I like that.

Brilliantly done by AML. I was hoping to find a V12 Zagato, not anywhere. Even less built than the One77s, but been nice to see one.

That Vulcan went across the block last year as well...

There have been two One-77's updated to be US legal at Canary Row in the past few years.

So bummed not to miss this years activities :-(

I was there at Sunset Center. It was a good event but not as engaging. A little poorly executed. The marketing team could learn a thing or two from Porsche and Lamborghini.

Now as I contemplate getting into my 3rd Aston (maybe a dogleg), I am still very confused who is their target audience. The future of AM relies on the new conversions not just existing conversions. Once people like us die off, who else is buying AM?
