V8 Vantage dying at 2k RPM

Just took my '07 with 21k miles out for a spin, slowly gave it some throttle and it suddenly cut out around 2000 RPM! Tried to bring it up to speed and I had the same experience: it feels like I suddenly lifted the throttle or a fuel line got kinked. Clearly not the case but that's the best way I can describe what happened. It idles fine, this is a new one for me.

Anyone else experience this? My initial thoughts are bad fuel pump or bad fuel filters. I'll bring it to my mechanic tomorrow so he can pull a diagnostic on it. What a bummer, hopefully it's nothing serious.

Thanks for any feedback!

I think you're probably right. It could also be something going on with the throttle solenoid.

Did it die or did it go into limp mode?
