I'm not sure how a larger wheel and tire package would lower the car at all. If you decrease the overall diameter, then sure, though you'll have larger wheel gaps to look at as well.
what am referring to is the gap between the top of the tire and the fender
I had a 2009 V8 Vantage with 20" wheels and traded it for a 2015 V8 GT transferring the wheels. On the rear I had a tire greater than the normal diameter - see pict below. No rubbing, but on the 2015 GT I went through a few computers under warranty that controlled the brake/ABS systems. Originally I thought it was because the GT was a 'price leader' bargain at the time, and maybe some components were compromised (such as oil leaks in both engine and transaxle -fixed under warranty), but what if the computer failures were sensors not dealing with the oversized rear diameter?

Reason: Forgot picture
I don't remember all the details - I have 20" front and 21" rear that I purchased used from a DB9 so no spec's there, but the tires (current Midnight Blue car pictured before) are 245/35/20 fronts and 305/25/21 rear. Note that I wanted to go slightly wider in the rear, but nobody seemed to have the size I wanted. I used Tire Rack and Tire Rack installation - was great and affordable. You can zoom in on the picture and I think it says 295/32/R20 for the Alloro Green GT. The stance of the car looked good, but again, it may have caused problems with the larger diameter,
those ARE nice looking wheels on the blue car, and another thing...why does everyone else's car look so damned shiny? i had mine buffed out for a pretty penny and it still doesn't shine like most of the pics i've seen.

They don't make a 295/32/R20. It's a 295/35/R20, it's huge, looks like a truck tire.
I had a Silver 2020 C8 Corvette and I tried a set of used Bronze Custom wheels I could have gotten cheap - they looked terrible with silver. As a side note my 2011 V8 Vantage with my custom wheels would get awful brake dust all over the wheels with just an hour driving - causing another 1/2 hour cleaning and a messy job. Even though I had plenty of life left in the pads I switched to Porterfield R4S pads while the car's in winter storage - hopefully I'll be able to enjow those beautiful wheels without the pain this coming summer.
my 2007 vantage squealed like a banshee and the pad dust was horrific when i first bought it. it was about twelve years old with 11,000 miles on it and running the original brake pads. i simply put on some cheap EBC pad from ebay with a little copper based grease on the metal backing plates of the pads and fixed the squealing and the dust. practically NO dust. and yes, the car stops as well as one would expect it to.
These are my wheels: 19" "V-Spoke Black Diamond Turned alloy". They are the same wheels that the Vantage S.
I love the look, but several times I ask to myself how it would like be with the same wheels but with the center silver painted instead of black color :
Both styles look great. I think current wheels make the car more agressive and sportive but a little bulkier too, instead of the more elegant and lighter look with silver wheels.
What do you think? Which ones would do you prefer?
