When I went from a V8 Vantage GT to the V12S I was disappointed that the sound muted from the V8 - not nearly as loud from the drivers seat. I figured that it was extra insulation from the higher quality leather and sound deadening likely the culprit. I read that removing the rear cover to the trunk (that lifts when the tailgate lifts) would get more sound. Instead of actually removing, i just flipped the panel at the hinge - now I get the sound that I desired at no cost!

 

I removed it entirely. I never actually used it.
