threaded sleeve for oil filter 4.7 v8v

when i changed my oil in the fall, I had no problem getting filter off but a terrible time removing the sleeve that joins the female orifice of the filter with the female orifice of the mounting point on the engine. I think I burred the threads when i eventually removed it but things went on ok again and no leaks, runs fine. Is this a common problem? Can you get replacement sleeves? Not sure what these things are called. Cant seem to find a reference for this part.

As long as you can thread that back into the engine block to the correct depth the filter will screw on and should not leak. If it happens again, You need to put that threaded part back into the engine with thread lock.
