Key Fob Programming
If you're using the iOS version of the ThinkDiag software, then I never did get this to work on my car.
However, when I switched to Android, it worked just fine.
My car is a '09 V8V, and I successfully programmed a new crystal key with codes using the ThinkDiag for the "Fob" portion and two existing keys for the "Key" portion.

Android version work perfectly I register my key one first try
United state 315 MHz
Cristal one was on eBay 800 to 1200 make sure buy with both code
plastick less
dealer have but asking more
Thanks. My car is UK spec so 433MHz but the only Volvo fob part number I have found on this forum so far is for the 315 MHz.
My Virage came with two Crystal keys. Both start the car but only one works on the doors so I want to replace the circuit board and add the new one to the car as I don't have the codes for it. A Volvo key seems like the cheapest way to achieve that

My fob from Wikingerparts turned up this morning but I have just noticed that the 8 digit code on the fob differs slightly from the code on the sticker. One is 30772189 and the other is 30772194.
Is that normal or has the wrong fob ended up in the box?
Update:
Wikingerparts have confirmed that is is all good. Panic over! Just got to wait for my Thinkdiag to arrive and I am good to go.

Starting the car is from the “pill” inside the key, the only non dealer way to program a new pill into the car is the Ford 2 keys procedure (need 2 different working keys pills to start program a 3rd one). You can move the pill form one key body to a different key body but tricky.
The open doors function is from the code programming with ThinkDiag. Both aspects need to be done when programming a new key so you get both start and doors.
did you scan how many keys you have before starting? Did you identify what working key are mapped to what location in ThinkDiag (1-6 I think)? Did you erase a key? Did you program the new key over an existing key location or an empty one?
