V8V clear bra ?

Purchased a 2014 V8V a few months ago. It has a clear bra on the front, hood, mirrors, etc... How long should this stay on the car until removed permanently or replaced?

Depending on the brand of PPF I'd say 3-5 years.

Ok. I have no idea on brand or how long it's been on there. I assumed the factory installed it but maybe not.

It could be factory installed--your local dealership can look that up if you don't have your window sticker or build sheet.

Alternately, there might be a sticker in the glovebox with the info (the shop that installed mine put the brand sticker and date in the glovebox for warranty issues, I assume).

But really, it can stay on until it starts having issues. I took a hard rock impact in the front fascia that damaged the film (the film protected the paint well enough, thankfully), so I replaced that section, for example. If it starts pulling away at the edges or discoloring, replace it. Otherwise: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

My clear bra has an 8 year warranty - after 5 years I'll replace it and not take a chance that removing it will damage the paint.
