Question Obsidian Black Leather Dye

I'm looking to do some repairs on my black leather interior for a 06 V8V. A few scrapes here and there. Seems there are several recommending Leatherique. Anyone else try this and what color did they use of the Leatherique? There standard colors include a Black and a Euro Black. They also have some OEM sample, but did not see any for AM. I was thinking Euro Black.

Check out www.colourlock.com. Leather Fresh Colour Restorer. I am happy with the results on my 2014 Obsidian Black Vantage interior. The brand was recommended on the PistonHeads Aston forum and is a German-based company. The color match was excellent IMO ( the site guides you to the correct color ) and was pretty straightforward to obtain and apply. I used it on my driver seat next to e-brake (of course) and some other minor scuffs.

this... on their website, they didn't have phantom grey but followed up with BOW and called me when they had it made... great service and color match. I think you can get it on Amazon

Thanks for the information! I did checkout Colourlock's website and they look to be a good option. Since they are setup to deliver in the US, I may go with them.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm about to order from colourlock to deal with a driver side bolster scuff. Any suggestions on which products to buy for this?

Definitely going to get the dye. Anything else?

That is a good question. Maybe someone who has done this can chime in.

I watched a couple of videos and I was thinking of buying their kit and adding on the leather cleaning spirit. Got kind of pricey and don't know if I really need all that. To top it off, Colourlock's cart is pretty buggy. It empty my cart twice while trying to checkout, would only let me pick the more expensive UPS delivery option. So it got me to thinking about what I really need as well.

I already had a water-based leather cleaner and conditioner from LeatherMaster, so I only ordered the Restorer from ColourLock. Small size was plenty.

Colourlock did not have Sahara Tan listed, a common Aston color! I'm going to make a warranty claim, as wearing through the bolster within the first 5K miles (4 month of driving even careful not to wear jeans) should be covered under warranty, but ever since Palmer took charge warranty issues have been a bit of a battle.

I use Leatherique based on the M5 board recommendations. There is a deep cleaner/recovery oil, and a sustainer. I use the deep cleaner once a year on a hot summer day. Park outside, get the car interior hot and the stuff absorbs in really well.

Same here on my 2007 Obsidian Black Vantage interior.
I used Colourlock Leather Fresh Colour Restorer Number F034.

take a burnt log or toast, really burnt, knock a chunk and grind it very fine. then add some butter. dab on the damaged leather (must be black of course) and wipe off. remove any and all rodents from the interior beforehand. or.... buy some lamp black and mix in a little oil, vegetable or mineral, doesn't matter. ditto black leather and rodents. or... buy some Fiebings black leather dye.

At least one other owner on this forum reports that Leatherique can damage the seat cushion foam material, so I'd go that route with caution.
