Front Sway Bar Bushings - non oem possible?

developed a bit of a squeak from what I think are sway bar bushings getting old, and thanks to aston1936's amazing technical video and website I think I can tackle this myself no problem...

problem is that the parts are off the charts expensive... he said the parts should be about $20 each, but now they're $55 each... for one crappy piece of rubber... and you need two! come on...

does anyone know if these parts are shared with any other ford/volvo/jag parts as to make acquisition faster/cheaper?

PART NUMBER: 4G43-5484-AB

is what I'm looking for based on that I have the sport pack according to https://aston1936.com/2018/09/14/cha...on-martin-db9/

Did you also read his post about upper control arm bushings? That's where he finally traced the squeak to.

I replaced my upper control arms per his guide and my squeaks are totally gone.

I had the same creaking sound as in aston1936's video. Mine was also resolved by replacing the upper control arms. The bushings were rotating in the arm and the noise was especially bad when the weather got cool.

Back to your question, Scuderia has the DB9 front sports pack bushing for ~$15 each. It's part #11 on the diagram.

That probably wont be of any use to you since it looks like your Vantage coupe has the same bushing as the non sports pack DB9 and is the same part that you list above. Not sure if that's of any help at all.

I'm not sure aston1936's 9 is a sports pack originally. He upgraded the wheels, but I think I remember reading on his site that it was not.

I hope its not the upper control arms, those are like 450 a piece... think i'll start with the sway bar bushings as I'm sure they need replacing as well, found some on the bits website for like 60 for the pair so thats a little better

As I understood, the indypendent workshop Vailant Ecosse developed upper control arm & rollbar bushings in Cooperation with Powerflex, see:
