you called it. The job apparently requires dropping the transmission and the cross bars out...
Not Necessarily.
I had 2 cracked hoses and they were pretty easy to change in my driveway. If they are the 2 hoses that go from the reservoir to the asm unit, then no need to drop anything other than the splash shield. If it’s any other parts on the top of the transmission, then yeah transmission has to be dropped.

This is the video I received about the inspection:
They have been very professional. I like the thorough explanation. looks to me like only the 2 hoses are leaking though. Nevermind the part about the tires because these are coming off soon.

and do you happen to have the part numbers by any chance?
Nope, not much else unless you need a clutch. BtW tire sensors are self learn for your car. No need to program.....
Tpms(.)com has been good for me and local in Yorba Linda. Set is $150....

thanks. yeah got the sensors from them . they re laying around and will put them on with the new tires .
Final quote for the ASM hose replacement is 10.5 h and 3200 dollars including parts. Not ideal for a hose as I just shelled 3200 last week for the windshield Anyways, will order the parts for now (they need a week or so ) and see what the options are. Might have to just bite the bullet
Ouch. Why didn't you use insurance to pay for the windshield?
My deductible is 2000. It was not worth it to go through the insurance for that
On another note, we managed to do a quick 250$ fix . The leak was close to the clamp so a local guy cut a couple inches of the hose, pulled it and clamped it. No leak so far. Not sure what the implications are for a shorter hose , but should the tranny be dropped in the future for some other job, I will replace the whole time .
Nice job, the hoses are low pressure so it should be ok. Why they are not a quality hydraulic hose that should last 10 years is ridiculous.
I am easily confused by acronyms and abbreviations .... You keep referring to "ASM" hoses and reservoirs... Do the leaking hoses shown in the photos connect to the rear transmission cooler, or is that something else? You noted that they are "low pressure" so is this just some type of filter? I have a 2005 DB9 and will be doing quite a lot of maintenance to it over the fall/winter so I wanted to know what I may encounter based on your observations.
