They obviously shouldn't be storing a piece like that in a trailer, probably was hitched to the tow vehicle. Hope it gets recovered in 1 piece.

shame. For something that valuable you'd think they'd put a GPS tracker or two on the trailer/car.

I have to admit that storing it in a trailer in a parking lot was dumb. The thieves probably didn’t even know what was inside or how much it was worth. They probably just saw an unprotected car hauler trailer, hooked it up, and took off. Probably hoping it was full of stuff they could easily sell on eBay or Facebook Marketplace.

That's too bad. I left my V8V behind when we were evacuated from the same fire. Fortunately our street got some special attention and we came back nearly four weeks later to find our neighborhood mostly intact. My insurance adjuster told me someone else lost a 70's Ferrari, and someone else lost an entire collection.
