2013 V8 Vantage S
Hi Guys,
I am (distance) looking at a 2013 V8 Vantage S, auto, with 29K miles. This is an Ebay car that it not local so I am doing virtual due diligence on it. I want to ask the community about any idiosyncrasies with this model, this year?
I know these questions from newbees can drive the experts crazy, but I am moving faster than I am learning. So, with apologies in advance, any input?
I have done numerous distance car purchases in the past, some on Ebay, so I am confident in that part, I just need to know if there is anything systemic that could create questions I could pose before committing.
Thanks again, and I'll pay back someday if I secure one.

As a fellow 2013 v8 vantage owner who bought in 2016 here is my advice...
1) Do not buy a car w/o full service records (higher mileage cars are better bets with records than low mileage w/o)
2) Get a PPI done from AM tech
3) If auto get a clutch readout...there was a software update ~3 years ago that made a big difference on performance and some cars had stalling issues
4) Check if timing gasket was replaced. ~10% are defective, can starting leaking at any time (~$5k expensive fix).
5) Some cars are prone to oil starvation without warning (ie blow..without needing oil)
6) It's British so expect the unexpected...
BTW: I am selling my beautiful 2013 vantage, 27k miles, all records...If you are interested drop me a PM
Good luck with purchase...
