Has the new style Vantage grown on you?
Nope, still no nicer looking and the lack of them on the road shows it is not a popular style. Here in the UK, the Aston owners are all now swinging towards a McLaren. DB11 not doing well either.
Not really. I think the Roadster front end is an improvement. I appreciate their success on the track but feel it is somewhat tainted by the merc engine. For myself, I'm so happy to have a pure Aston Martin which is naturally aspirated. I do like the look of the DBS.
I still can't believe how much they messed up the styling compared to the old one. IMHO they were able to do a stellar job on the DBS Superleggera which came out afterwards: that car is a worthy successor to the old DBS/Virage/DB9ish styling.
The revenant nose-upgrade and dual exhaust tips make it look slightly better but it has lost its British style/feel not just because of its heart..

We're talking about styling.
the previous poster mentioned the guts. Also I do consider horrible Volvo navigation module and switchgear to be styling. I don’t disagree that the previous gen had it down exterior-wise.
I don't hate it, but I think the reason it's a bit "lesser" when compared with the previous models for me is that they made it much more overtly masculine, whereas the previous gen was a very even mix of masculine and feminine cues. Sensuous curves with brutish stance, for example.
This is something that very few automobile designers get right, and something that AM nailed with the previous generation.

The interior was miles ahead of the new Vantage in terms of styling. Real gauges, minimalist styling, hidden nav screen, etc. You can rationalize all you want, the new Vantage is a mess in and out, and it uses an off the shelf AMG lump. It is the least desirable Aston since they’ve been making Astons (with the exception of some specials). Sales figures don’t lie.
Random question. Does anyone know if companies such as AM have a social media department that aggregates feedback from different platforms such as forums like this ? Given that this group is basically a large subsection of their target demographic, I would imagine that the feedback in this thread alone would be extremely helpful.

Wow. A lot more No's than I was thinking. I figured after a few years the new style would grow on a lot of people but it sure seems this isn't the case with the new AM which also explains the terrible sales. I would also like to see a total revamp of the car but that is millions and millions to re design a car again and I just don't think they have the funds to do that right now. Will be interesting to see what happens in the next few years.

If I'm right, it's even worse for the company, because the sales suggest alienation of both the die-hards and the 'other' buyers (posers, status seekers etc.)
