2012 DBS Sat Radio

I have a 2012 DBS. I am trying to access the Sat radio, I use the “mode” switch and then use the joystick to either Sat 1 or Sat 2, Then I push “menu” and there is no Sirius menu that appear and no sound at all. Am/FM, CD all work. Any suggestions?

Thanks

No sound, no preview station display on head unit would most likely be power supply or ground fault to module or disconnected. Failed satellite module. Did you have a PPI performed ?

You may not have the Sirius option to begin with.

Thank you J doubleU. I will have the dealer check it out when I bring it in. I did not have a PPI done. The dealer I use I have bought over 10 exotics from and never had a major issue. This included three Ferraris, two Lotus Esprit’s, a Lambo and Bentley. They have stood behind any minor issue that has come up.

XJ...yes the car has Sat installed as per the window sticker. Also I posted a picture of the car.

The Sirius module is known for a relatively high failure rate. But when it fails it typically kills the audio output completely.

Thanks XJRS for the info. Everything else , CD and AM/FM are working. I will only fix the SAT if it is easy.

Love the car thus far!

You could also use the $ to upgrade the bluetooth module for audio streaming from your phone for the same cost as getting the Sirius working.

XJRS, can the Sirius module be unplugged to restore the audio system to operation? My my09 Vantage audio system stopped working, so now I have no GPS, CD player, Bluetooth or Radio. I don't need Sirius if I have my Bluetooth working. Do I need to put a jumper in the fiber optics system? thanks

I understand that a jumper will restore loop function.

XJRS, Thanks for the tip about the SiriusXM module not working can kill all infotainment system. You were exactly right (for my car), I disconnected the SM module and installed a jumper for the optic fiber loop and shazam my infotainment system is working again. What a relief. Trickey these modern fancy cars. Thanks again.
