All Season Tires
All Season Tires
After the last inspection, the rear tires barely passed inspection. I was looking at some all season tires. My driving style is somewhat relaxed, after realizing that the cars limits are much higher than mine. I was looking at the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ in 245/40ZR19 front and 285/35ZR19 rear. The other options are the Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate High Performance All Season or the Continental EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06 in the same size. I have the Contis on my Lexus GS 350 and very pleased with them - very confident inspiring in the rain and nice in the dry.
Any one have any experience with any of the above all season tires on a DB9 (or similar)?
Thanks
Scott

I have the MPS A/S3+ on my Audi S7. They are fine for an all-season tire, decent grip and quiet. I only use them from November to March, and use Pilot Sport 4S the rest of the time. I realize the car is not similar to the Aston, just making the point that it's a pretty big compromise, and one I wouldn't make year-round (in a performance car).
I have Pilot Super Sports (predecessor to Sport 4S) on my Vantage, and I believe the grip is needed! I realize it's not always practical to have two sets of tires for a car, but unless you drive in snow or extreme cold, I'd probably stick with a summer tire.
I realize I'm not answering your question - I have used the Conti DWS06 and the MPS A/S3+ on the same car and prefer the latter. The Michelins have better grip, and the Contis get quite noisy as they wear.
