any idea what these hoses do? ? Part of dry sump system
while changing my oil, I noted a film of oil on a vertical rubber tube on the underside of the engine which connects to a metal tube with a small clamp, the metal tube then connecting to a large metal housing behind it. It looks like part of the dry sump system. I have never noted oil on the top side of the belly pan or on the garage floor. Its almost like it was weeping minimally. Was wondering if this was just a loose clamp issue or? Dont want to mess with this unless I know what I am messing with
The pics attached are taken from the underside of the car looking up. For orientation I have labelled the bow(front) and stern (back of the bus
Air/oil separator drain tube back to the crankcase. Its a plastic tube and if you fiddle with it may really start leaking. Look up AOS valve about the O-ring leaking.
