Dying need of a good mechanic

Hello guys

I need a good mechanic in Toronto area around 200 kms radius is OK. I have tried finding someone with knowledge about the Rapide but have failed so far.

Please advise any help would be great from your own personal experiences . Need to get oil change done and get transmission fluid changed.

Thank you in advance.

Are there any exotic new car franchises near you? Any place that works on Ferrari's can do both services quite easily. Neither service is that complicated.

when i bought my aston from an autonation outlet in a swank BMW dealership in campbell, california, they offered four synthetic oil changes and filters at an attractive price. i rarely buy into such things, but i did this time. mistake...

the last time i had the bmw dealership do the oil change, i gently offered advice as to the slight complications involved in the aston's dry sump procedure and was rebuffed with a "our mechanics know how to change your oil". they didn't...

they didn't remove the two metal oil strainers covered by the two inch diameter plates held on by two screws. together they usually hold about a pint to a quart of oil between them. and guess what? when i checked the oil level on the way home, the level was about a quart high. i stopped by a normal service station, immediately, and had to have them pump out a quart through the filler outlet in the engine compartment.

...i've been kicking myself, because i KNEW better.

next time i'll either do it myself, if i feel up to it, or take it to a garage where i know my instructions on how to do it, (it's not complicated) will be welcome. or, again if i feel up to it, go back to the bmw dealership and make a point of telling them that they need to take my advice.

later research has shown that bmw has NEVER made a non-racing engine with a dry sump. figures...

Is there a reason for not using Aston Martin Toronto?

This is the exact reason to finding someone who knows these cars!

What is their hourly shop rate? What do you think is a fair shop rate for factory trained techs? An annual service is around $1,200 in Boston (oil, brake fluid, and inspection).

The transmission fluid should be a ZF kit which is pan, filter, fluid. I have done that on a few Jags and that was around $500 at indy dealers.
