A couple spy shots on the new Vantage...looks promising.
Front end with bigger lights, contoured hood and grill looks a little smaller/refined....similar to the DB11 spy shot in some ways. Maybe AM is going back to more familiar look across range like VH models. Rear looks same except for more oval/larger exhaust tips. I hope the change that ugly "arrow" side-strake...can't tell from photo. No pic of interior
I spoke to a AM rep (for what it's worth) and he said DB launch in July, V8 only. Maybe we get Vantage launch in Q1'24?
I loved the DBR22 design myself so styling cues off that would be a good thing. The hood opening looks more "traditional" opposed to the clam-shell that is currently used?

Great observation! I missed that. Now I see a little gen-1 F-type in there. Also not a bad thing.

DBS production is ending. If the DB launch is V8-only, is the V12 launch later? Or will there be no more V12? If the V12 is gone, it'll be an automotive tragedy -- there would be no more Aston Martin engines. I can't express how much I hope that's not the case.
I seriously doubt that car is the next Vantage. We are fed the promise everything will be all new. If that's all new it is the kiss of death for the brand. So let's hope it's a mechanical mule and not the 'all new' Vantage. Aston needs to compete. Ferrari set a new standard with their SUV I saw in the flesh a few days ago. I'm not a SUV guy, but wow, holy crap! Inside and out it's incredible and looks the $500K it cost. Other than the DBS, Aston eradicated the holy crap that's incredible a while ago. Aston's lost the elegance and the salivate factor. So let's pray, the all new Vantage is the old Vantage with minor changes.

I agree. I don't see any significant changes, in AM's defense, the entire car really needs to be blown up and start over. I also agree not a fan of the DBX, I have seen several in the flesh and they are an odd looking SUV, IMO. But now with everything is going EV, who really cares. Automobiles will become basically an appliance.

To me the current gen Vantage represents Aston's "Porsche 996 moment":
-questionable, largely unloved exterior design
-messy, plasticky interior
-powerplant evolution that's viewed as an unwelcome departure in the eyes of traditional fans of the brand (in this case, externally sourced vs in-house developed)
-but, a car that by all accounts handles better, is faster, and is more comfortable than the previous generation
I for one am hoping the refresh/update can change the current course and bring back some of the magic Aston had with the VH gen cars!
Agree. If they had a seamless clamshell hood design it would speak to the fine details of the car and what the brand is known for.
I can't justify the price of this car in my head and would rather go higher up the model line or wait for the rock bottom used car prices later down the road.

I love the clam shell design on any car. Really shows off the engine and front suspension. Insurance companies I don't think are such a fans of them.

This was an odd clam shell hood. It drew attention to the the front shut line and they never seemed to be able to close the poor panel gaps. Just a poor design.
