Paint Code for 07 V8V "Anthracite" Wheels?
Paint Code for 07 V8V "Anthracite" Wheels?
Hello All,
I recently just purchased my first Aston Martin! A 2007 V8 Vantage, Onyx Black over Kestrel Tan, 6 Speed Manual. I am very excited!
My only gripe with the car is it has DB9 wheels of the same era (9 spokes) currently on the car and I feel as if the wheels look extremely out of place...
Long story short, I bought a set of 4 OEM 7 spoke V8V wheels that have been stripped down (previous owner was going to have them powder coated). I am going to have these wheels powder coated to bring the car back to it's original state. My car came from the factory with the "anthracite" wheels. I looked up "paint code anthracite" for Aston Martin and came up with code R1488. It doesn't specifically state if that paint code is for "wheels". But perhaps it's the same for exterior paint and wheel color?
I want the wheels to be close as possible to the OEM color. Does anyone know of a powder color that is equivalent to the factory anthracite? I wanted to do the wheels silver (I like the silver more) but the more I think about it, I would rather have the wheel color that came on my car from when it left the factory.
Thank you in advance for your input.
