V-12 air filters

Maybe I missed something, but I couldn’t find a thread directly addressing alternative air filters for the Ford-derived V-12. So far, I’ve compiled this info.

1 The factory filter set is part no. 4643-9601-AB-PK. Apparently the V-8 Vantage uses the same part. Scuderia Parts lists it as in stock at $156 for the 2-filter set, but wants $44 (!) to ship it.

2. Redpants lists the factory part at the same price but says it is out of stock. Redpants also lists its own, reusable dry filter at $175/set, but says it also is out of stock.

3. The K&N CM-4508 is a wet (oiled) reusable filter that is reported on this forum to fit the V-8 Vantage. However, it appears to be out of production. It never was listed as fitting Aston Martins, but as fitting the Can-Am DS 450 ATV. Some say an oiled filter destroys the MAF sensor, but I ran K&N’s for years on my BMW V-12 and never noticed any MAF damage. Still . . .

4. The AFE Power 87-10057 is a wet reusable filter listed for the same Can-Am ATV. It is available at $75 each from AFE. Apparently AFE once made a dry reusable filter but it appears to be out of production.

Anyway, I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with any alternative filters or is aware of a cheaper source for the factory one. You’d think Aston would have spec’d a Ford-family part rather than a custom design but apparently not?

I purchased a set of the VAP oiled filters during their last sale but haven’t yet installed them.

Blue print makes a good air filter that I've used for my V8V. I think they're made in Latvia and I got the pair for around $40.

The Bilstein "Blue Print" OEM like filters part # ADJ132232 are a good alternative and what I had been using. OEM fit look and finish. Available on eBay for cheap.

This year I put in re-usable ITG ProFilters, part # BH-281 . I got those on sale during Black Friday at a price I couldn't let pass!

While most of the eBay vendors for the filter are in Latvia, Blue Print is a German company, a division of Bilstein. an OEM supplier.

Those ITG filters look like the ones to have, but the $43 international shipping charge from the UK put the standard retail price at $277/pr direct from ITG

Keep an eye out for sales! Got them for $68 on Black Friday sale, and combined with a couple other things, they cost me $15 shipping equivalent

You can pm me if you want to know where I got them
