Hello to you all,

My 2009 V8V Roadster had about 14,000 miles. I've noticed recently that on startup, it makes an intermittent sort or "chirping" sound from the engine compartment. The car drives well with no other issues. Oil is up to level and no leaks. Any idea what is making this noise?
Thank you,
David

A guess, but it sounds like an accessory belt pulley bearing is going bad. An easy way to tell is to squirt some WD-40 (like) oil on the pullies and see if it stops. If you have a pulley tension tool (or a large wrench) it's pretty easy to loosen the belt. The pulleys are OEM Ford products and readily replaced and reasonably priced...

Of course as always, YMMV!

Replace the drive belt, probably original and they made noise early in production. On the 4.3 there was an updated belt and pulley. 4.7 should have the correct pulley.
Search FEAD belt there's some good info.

The accessory belts should be changed every few years or something. Part of the certain annual services.

FEAD belt is every 15 years/150k miles

The updated belt and pulley solves the chirping:
