DB9 2nd gen DIY Transmission service
DB9 2nd gen DIY Transmission service
Has anyone done a full DIY service on their ZF tranny?
I have been following Steve's videos on Aston1936. He has a 1st gen DB9 and he used about 9.75 liters of ZF fluid.
On mine i put in 9.9 liters and still no dripping from the fill plug at 35°C.
Anyone know the total needed?
I did collect all of the old fluid and that came out to about 10 liters, so it could be i'm less then a liter short but just wanted to check.
2013 DB9 with 6 speed ZF transmission.
Thanks

Hi,
This is proactive/past due maintenance. I have a little over 26,000 miles but the main reason is ZF says 8 years max, mine is going on 12 years.
I was able to verify that no previous service was done, as the date code on the pan was from 2012 and the bridge seal was falling apart.
